Clan Barclay Tartan Face Mask, Scottish Family Heritage Face Covering, Celtic Dress Plaid Ancestry Mask
So... In doing research for the Clan Barclay, some interesting things were discovered. Likely descended from a Norman family during the Norman conquest of Britain, the Barclays came to reside in Aberdeenshire and Fife making them a Lowlands clan. Sir David Barclay was one of Robert the Bruce's closest associates and fought by his side in many battles during the First War of Scottish Independence when Sir David was eventually captured by the English. In times closer to the modern-day, the Barclays are known to have produced excellent field marshalls and bankers (that's a very different mix of occupations, to say the least.) "That's not that weird though," I can hear you proclaim through your technological device's screen. No. You're right. It's not. The weird part is when some of the Barclays developed trading between Scotland and Scandinavia and the Baltic lands. At some point, two Barclays were granted safe passage to the Baltic lands, Germany, specifically in 1621. But that's still not the weirdest part. Five generations later, a Barclay had become a field marshall, Minister of War, and commander of the Russian armies fighting against Napoleon Bonaparte's invasion in 1812. Yes, you read that right. A Scotsman became an army commander for Russia. So let's celebrate this far and wide traveling family together with a Clan Barclay Tartan Face Mask today!
