Irish Tartan Mask, Green Plaid Face Mask, Ireland Flag Inspired Celtic Pattern Face Covering
Ireland? Tartan? Mask? None of this seems to totally add up. They don't not (nice double negative.) Though Ireland doesn't technically have tartans the way Scotland does, they are an excellent way to take certain colors with personal or traditional meanings and put them onto one canvas as it were. We wanted to make to do that for Ireland and all the other Celtic regions. Inspired by the Irish flag, we wanted to make a tartan that represented this beautiful country as a whole. The people, the traditions, the history. Everything and anything Irish. The green, orange, and white of the flag (and subsequently this tartan) aren't just random. The green stands for the Catholics living in Ireland and the orange for the Protestants. Where the white in the middle stands for the desired peace between these two groups of Ireland. Erin go bragh!
